Mission

A pool of competent graduates with deep understanding of values along the field of agri-business and hospitality management equipped with quality instruction, research and community engagement services through problem-solving techniques, food and beverage enterprises and leadership roles in the global hospitality industry.

Goals

Train and prepare graduates with competencies on leadership and hospitality management, academe, research and extension.

Objectives

The IEDS aims to produce a competent, values driven and service-oriented and well-rounded hospitality and agribusiness professionals capable of meeting the local and national needs. Specifically, with the following skills and competencies:
1. Demonstrate understanding on the basic functions of management such as planning, organizing, leading and controlling;
2. Apply the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business (marketing, finance, human resources;
3. Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills required by the business environment;
4. Work effectively with stakeholders and manage conflict in the workplace;
5. Plan and implement business-related activities; management, production and operations management, information technology, and strategic management) and employ these concepts in various business situations;
6. Select the proper decision making tools to critically, analytically and creatively solve problems and drive results;
7. Apply information and communication technology
8. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using English, Filipino, mother tongue language, and an appropriate Foreign language required by the industry; and
9. Generate new knowledge through research and technological innovations in agricultural production aligned with regional and national development agenda.
10. Practice as competent and proficient educators/academes.
